Road Construction update, thermal version: I wasnt fast enough to get dashboard photos, but yesterday saw layers of blue foamboard covering one lane of the MHS-NGB road in the hot spots that are typically covered with wood chips during the winter. By the time I drove out in the evening it was covered and graded, ready for paving. It wouldnt surprise me if that short stretch is paved asap for the holiday weekend when both lanes of travel will be open. Also, the road widening on the hill north of Norris before Hazel Lake is exposing awesome pure bright white thermal soil. What an interesting challenge for the construction crews and what an amazing place we frequent!
