Robin Williams. ------------------ There you go. I said it. --------------- Now take a moment to think of favorite Robin moment... or ten. Oh, the times hed take over the Tonight Show and get on a roll. Or better yet, he was always more at ease with Letterman for Dave is his kind of crazy. I recall shopping shoes in B. Hills Barneys once.... I loved shoes... and was picking up various skids when I heard, These!... You gotta try these... these are you... or maybe theyre me... not sure. It was Robin holding a brightly colored pair of some exotic shoe... Funny, personable. We Laughed.. I had the chance to chat with him once at a very exclusive B-day party in the hills... only few dozen all A-list there... he was kind, gentle and very tame. Bright... and clear... when he wasnt on fire. Now, we can all be sad.... sad for the loss of such a brilliant light. For its laughter we need, tragedy weve got. Not that it helps now but to know the loss we each feel is reflective of the gift hes given us. I dont really know Robin personally.... but this loss feels personal. Maybe its that laughter is at its roots vulnerable. One can not be fearful and amused, you know. Damn depression. Damn the years. Damn the losses. But thank God for the light, the laughter, the brilliant rays he shone for all these years.
