Rod Millen goes to pre-school… On the first day of pre-school the children were asked if any of their parents were policemen, firemen, doctors or nurses so they could come and talk to the class about what they do for work…the class was silent…then young James held up his hand, arm straight as an arrow and said “my Grandpa is a race car driver.” James Skyped his Grandpa in New Zealand where he was preparing for the Leadfoot Festival and asked him to fly back to the USA and share what he does with his class On Thursday, Rod did just that! He shared his days driving tractors on the farm giving him the inspiration to race cars. All the children took pictures, watched a couple quick racing videos and the meet and greet was ended with a Mattel Hot Wheels Toyota Celica given to each child. As Rod left the classroom all the kids were racing their new toy cars across the room.
