Romans 8:26 NKJV [26] Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 1 Timothy 2:5 NKJV [5] For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, Ephesians 2:18 NKJV [18] For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Matthew 6:9 NKJV [9] In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 1 Timothy 2:1 NKJV [1] Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, ~Prayer~ We can find so many Scripture that teach us how to pray. First of all, we need to understand that our prayers dont go straight from our lips to Gods ears. There is a Mediator by the name of Jesus. If we dont have Jesus, we are wasting our breath praying. Thats why when we pray, we pray in His name...because without Him, prayer wouldnt be possible. Now...there are times when we just dont really know what to pray for...and thats ok. We dont always have to know because The Holy Spirit knows and understands our needs better than we do, and He intercedes for us. How awesome is that? He knows what we need even when we dont. So often we go to God when we need something or when were anxious about something, yet when everything is going our way, we fail to go to Him in thanks. Why do you think that is? Do we just expect His blessings? We have so much to be thankful for. Everything good that we have...it didnt just happen. God gave it....from family, good health, homes, jobs, etc. Is there anything too insignificant to pray for? I dont believe there is. If its important to you, its important to your Father who loves you. So we should never feel as if God is too busy answering important requests and not tell Him our every worry and/or desire. He cares. One last thing...did you know that prayer is a weapon against the enemy? For example....lets say that there is an individual that just seems to rub you the wrong way. Satan loves for us to not like one another....but what if we start praying blessings on that person? Lord, bless her marriage, her home, her finances. Bless her hair, her purse, and her shoes...lol! Im serious, yall! We can overcome Satans hold on us by allowing our commitment to Christ outweigh our personal differences. How about that! So even if you dont like me, you can pray for me today..hahaha! Ill take all I can get. God bless and happy Monday yall!!!!
