Ron: Day 2 of a full schedule for Tristen. He has been extremely busy with no nap time at all today. Going from a few hours of therapy to a full day of therapy is taking some adjustment. He is rotating approximately every 30 minutes, which he does without complaint. I could tell today he was either scared or nervous to stand. The therapist is behind him and he has a harness to help him balance, however he for some reason didn’t want to stand. Being the little trooper that he always is, he did what he was asked to do. He did not walk today and we will have to keep working before that occurs. He wanted to lie on the mat today saying his back hurt after physical therapy, however he didn’t get much rest before he off doing something else. Bean bag basketball was on the agenda and he was able to hit the goal. Throwing bean bags into a small basketball goal can be challenging for all of us imagine doing it without the ability to stand alone. As is so like Tristen he accomplished this with the same eagerness as everything he does. Speech went well as it usually does, might have been the best part of the day for him. Tristen is still having difficulty keeping the supplement down and threw up a few times today. He had an Ultrasound today hopefully the results will be back tomorrow and someone can figure out what to do. In the mean time they have stopped his feeding tube in an effort to help him to get hungry. We are hoping he will be hungry and eat then move on from this issue. It has been a very busy day so now we are resting. His left arm is still not functioning without assistance. Today I decided to tickle him on this arm. He laughed and it moved, that is great at least we know he can feel it. We have more of the same tomorrow hopefully he will be asleep soon we both need the rest for tomorrow. As busy as this day has been I am amazed at what he can do and continues to do. We all need the PUSH, thank you all.
