Route of the Chesterfield & Derbyshire Marathon on Sunday 14th September... The route is undulating and testing. * Keep Hydrated & well fuelled with Carbohydrates * Run Efficiently: 1. Upright, Balanced Posture, Eyes looking forward into the horizon 2. Find your rhythm, synchronise arm and leg movement 3. Take shorter, quicker steps to help your feet land closer to your body 4. Relax Shoulders, Arms, Hands * Run Smart ie/ Start at a comfortable pace, you should be aiming to increase this over the race distance (2nd half of the route should be run quicker than the 1st half of the route) * Preparation is Key; if you have trained accordingly its now time to relax, look forward to the event, and enjoy the run!!
