It’s a combination of training with experienced and qualified teachers and participation in competitions at recognized events. You’re surprised? Competitions are like high school exams. If there had not been exams, we would not have had studied and worked as hard. Exams also helped keeping track of our improvement. Are you up to the challenge? Thinking about competing? I am starting training for Heats competitions for the Canada Salsa Congress that will take place in Toronto on Saturday, October 12th. canadasalsacongress What are Heats competitions? - It’s like social dancing, like you do when you go out dancing. Several couples dance at the same time on the dance floor to a selection of songs selected by the DJ. - There are several categories: new comers, novice, pre-intermediate, intermediate, advanced. Who will be your partner? - LADIES, you will be dancing with me and only you will be judged (PRO-AM Divisions) - GENTLEMEN can pair with other LADIES and compete in AM-AM Divisions. Both of you will be judged. **AM (Amateur) is a dancer who has not received any personal financial compensation for teaching or performing.** I can guarantee that this experience will transform you and improve your dancing!
