SAPELE/DELTA STATE MUST BETTER Promises of the Lord(Psalm 121) This Psalm is an 8 verse Psalm that contains some promises of God that gives me great confidence everytime I read it. When we are troubled who is the first person we turn to for help? Our best friend?Our Parents?Our Siblings?Our Boss?Our God? Yeah!I know at this point,everyone is picking God.Is that really true? The Psalmist in the Chapter starts by saying,he would look up to the hills,where his help comes from.He says his help comes from God who made heaven and earth.He says God will not allow him to be moved by the situations surrounding him. He is confident in his God.Are you? Can you honestly tell yourself that everytime youre faced with a difficult situation you bring it before God? Are you as confident as this Psalmist that says hes sure no matter what,hes sure God will never let anything bad happen to him? God acts according to our Faith in him.Without Faith,it is impossible to please God(Hebrews 11:6gg). David enjoyed all of Gods benefits because he put all his confidence in God. Reading about David through the old testament,youll find out that before he did anything he consulted his God. And God always answered him and gave him victory over all his adversaries. Because he put his trust in God,God never failed him.Not once. The same goes for us today.We must learn to put our confidence in God and not man. Man would always fail and disappoint us but God can never fail. When we go to God with anything bothering us,we should have the confidence in our hearts that our Father who loves us and wants to see us happy always,would locate a way to ease our burden. When we submit whatever request before God,pouring our hearts in sincerity to him,we should let the peace of knowing that God never fails fill our hearts. And while we wait for a manifestation of his power over that situation,we should keep thanking him and praising him for lifting our burdens...Now,thats active Faith. Even when the devil comes to try your Faith,make Faith filled declarations concerning it. If for example,the issue bothering you is your house rent,and your neighbour walks in 3days to the deadline to ask what youre gonna do and offer for you to keep some of your things in his/her house when youre moving. Boldly declare youre not moving that youre expecting some money to offset the debt before the due date. And believe me,my God and your God who sees the heart would not let you be put to shame. So no matter what issue is disturbing our peace,the minute we give it to God in heartfelt Prayers,our peace should be restored because of the confidence we have that when we pray,he hears us. Prayer: Dear heavenly Father,King of Kings,Our everything...Help us to put our confidence in you alone and to stand firmly on every of your promises.Help us not to be shaken by the circumstances happening around us...Help us in all areas of our lives because we cant do anything without you...In Jesus name...Amen Throway ur Amen for ground wey soft to join ur faith with studio own today.
