SAVE THE DATE – Work-Day / Free Compose Saturday April 5 -- 8:30 START All, We have a PV Community Garden Work-Day scheduled for Saturday, April 5 to get the Gardens cleaned up for Spring and put down compose. This is a good time to meet and help your fellow Gardeners get compose put down and turned-into the plots. Work day at Harmon begins at 8:30… With a good early start we should be finished in the 12-1:00 time-frame. Please let me know if you are not able to attend the Work-Day and DO NOT want compose put down on your plot -- we would like ALL plots to have Compose added. Also we have been ask to man the Free Compose distribution at the Harmon water tower to check ID’s and help with loading. Here is the list of times that we have volunteers for – can someone volunteer to help Joanna in the 12-1 time frame? 8-9 Michele Bladl - Shelley Preston 9-10 Stu & Becky Jones - Caedran Sullican & family 10-11 Gadine Acton - Sheila Myers 11-12 Bradd Crowley - Susan Welch 12-1 Joanna King Harmon TODO: 1. Get ~3 green tubs of compose put down on your plot and turned in. 2. Dig all grass around plots and fence!!! We want to kill all the grass by turning it under with a shovel or pulling it at the root level. NO grass will be tolerated in the garden this year. 3. Neat up and clean everything such that the garden is ready for spring crops. Things to bring to Work-Day: 1. Old Green Recycle Tubs if you have them. 2. Shovel to turn plot and rake. 3. 2 wheel barrows – let me know if you can bring one. 4. We plan on having 2 tillers available.
