SCHOOL TALK - WEEK OF APRIL 14TH IDAHO HILL ELEMENTARY Idaho Hill students and staff would like to thank author Mary Cronk Farrell for visiting and sharing her knowledge on writing. She did a great job presenting to our students and creating workshops for them. We appreciate her hard work. We would like to remind parents our 3rd Quarter Awards Assembly will be held on Thursday, April 17th at 1:30 p.m. Please join us as we celebrate our children’s accomplishments with honor roll, citizenship awards, B.U.G. awards, and more. PRIEST LAKE ELEMENTARYPriest Lake Elementary Students in 3rd - 6th grade will begin Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) testing on Tuesday April 15th. Please help your children get enough sleep and a healthy breakfast. Please schedule any appointments after school while testing is going on. We would like to help our students by giving them a quiet environment for testing. If you come to school with younger children please remind them to be quiet in the hallways. PTO last Community Connect for this year is April 17th beginning at 5:30 with a Spaghetti dinner followed by a showcase of ;The Seven Habits of Healthy Kids. Our students will be the presenters for the evening. Please plan on attending. PRIEST RIVER ELEMENTARYThis will be a busy week of school for the students. The upper grades (third through sixth) will be starting their Standard Base Assessment (SBAC) testing this week. We will hold a site council meeting on Thursday April 17th for parents to attend to learn information about the schools and we will address any questions about the new SBAC test. We will be working this week on planning our Earth Day (April 22) events for the students to participate in giving back to the local community and helping make Priest River a g reat place. PRIEST RIVER JUNIOR HIGH Students and parents - state testing has started. Please get a good night sleep and a full breakfast. Remember, breakfast is FREE every day to every student. Attendance is very important during the testing window. Congratulations to our 86 3rd quarter honor students! We are proud of your hard work. Please vote on the Levy May 20th. PRIEST RIVER LAMANNA HIGHJazz Band Auditions for 2014-2015! Enrollment in the PRLHS Jazz Band is open to all students and requires an audition. Auditions will be held at PRLHS at the following days/times: Monday, April 21-Friday, April 25 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. and Wednesday, April 23 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. See Mr. Schuh in Room 610 for audition materials ASAP! Jazz band meets B1 and is an honors humanities credit. PROM tickets will be on sale within the next week. They will be on sale at lunches and prices are $30 for a single and $35 for a couple. Soccer (Boys & Girls) Open Gym @ High School gym Saturday April 12th from 9-11:00 We would like to extend a special thank you to Panhandle State Bank for their generous donation of bottled water to the high school. We appreciate you! We would like to extend a special thank you to Mitchell’s Harvest Foods for your generous donations to our school.
