SEEK DAILY (NBC) Saturday, September 28 2 Chronicles 34:22-28 A HUMBLE AND PENITENT HEART …and you repented and humbled yourself before me... when you heard how I threatened to punish Jerusalem and its people.... 2 Chronicles 34:27, GNB At times, all it takes to mend a broken relationship is a true apology, a desire for true reconciliation and sincerely seeking forgiveness. A gentle plea from a repentant heart can turn away wrath. God requires that we come to Him with humility and a true heart of repentance. He wants to know that we regret our sins and are truly ready to change and He is also willing to turn away His wrath. God does not desire the destruction of anyone but wishes that we would all come to repentance. With our repentance come renewal, reconnection and answer to prayers. God is great, mighty and His wrath is a terrible thing to come on anyone. Yet, He is merciful, slow to anger and even when angry, He is willing to forgive. Have you strayed from God, are you under His wrath already? All you need do is turn to Him with a humble and truly repentant heart, it is a sacrifice He will not reject.
