SELFISHNESS CAN BE VERY REFINED The spirit of selfishness is often garbed in the cloak of love. The people who loves selfishly is not always conscious of the unhealthy quality of their love, and would be deeply grieved if it were suggested to them that their love is "fake". Love seeketh not its own(1 Cor 13 V 5)- Divine Love, which is the essence of all forms of love demands complete self-forgetfulness and the placing of the interest and welfare of others before self. To love in such a manner is humanly impossible, for self is always at the centre of your life, but when you place God at the centre of your life and allow Him to express His Love through you, you and those whom you love experience a sense of release and freedom.
