SHOCK as Supreme Court Judge admits RAILA ODINGA may have floored UHURU/ RUTO Tuesday June 24, 2014 - One of the Supreme Court Judges who sat on the bench that came up with the verdict regarding the March 4 the elections, has sensationally claimed that former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, could have won last year’s poll, if the court admitted his 900 - page document.Justice Mohamed Ibrahim, who was among the six judges that upheld last year’s win of President Uhuru Kenyatta, said the 900 page affidavit from Raila Odinga’s team that was rejected in the March petition, may have tilted the outcome of the case had it been allowed.He said if the court had allowed the 900 page affidavit to be scrutinized Raila Odinga could have been the President of Kenya and Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, leaders of opposition.The Judge however maintained that strict constitutional timelines on Presidential Election petitions should be extended from the current 14 days to 3 months to give judges more time to peruse the evidence. Ibrahim’s opinion will appear in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) internal evaluation report that willbe published later this year.
