SMITH NABA TAKES FIRST PLACE IN NASHVILLE! Professor Jim McKinney (NABA Advisor) just returned from Nashville, Tennessee where the national convention of the National Association of Black Accountants was held. As part of the convention, there was a national level student case study competition in which a student team from the University of Maryland participated. Smith won FIRST PLACE in this year’s competition defeating the 2011 and 2012 champion and this year’s runner-up, Temple University. The team consisted of senior Seymone Ellis, junior Jeff Megayo, freshman Nkem Nwogbo, and junior and current NABA President Shanice Sandiford.
