SO WHAT EXACTLY IS HAPPENING ON THE 27TH SEPTEMBER? The first ever group meeting will take place this Saturday the 27th Sept, 7:30pm at Dewsbury and Savile Cricket Club, Park Road, Savile Town, WF12 0RH. What is happening is this: Simon Reed will be speaking briefly about his DVD about Dewsbury and then he will be playing some or all of it on a big screen. Stuart Hartley will then deliver us an enthralling talk about a diary he purchased written by a local Lady in 1911. It will give us an insight into the life of a well-to-do woman in early 20th century Dewsbury. Thameena Musht Smile Everyday will be providing the catering and I can certainly say that this will be something everyone has been looking forward to. Mason Quesnel will be rounding the evening off with guitar and vocals. Mason is an accomplished artist in his own country of Canada and he is over here as his partner is from Dewsbury - this will be a great end to the evening. The bar will be open throughout the evening. I have no clue about how many people are going to show up, well just have to play it by ear :) See you all Saturday....
