SPOILER ALERT: If youre in need of a quick and simple cheerful Happy New Year message...look elsewhere. I do wish you all much love and success in 2015, but my message below, although intended to be therapeutic is a bit on the sad side. I know 2015 will eventually be a most wonderful year.. Its what I make of it. But right now, at this moment, its feeling like a heart-breaking year... I know I am not alone in feeling this way today.. many of us face challenges, whether its someone you love is suffering or dying, or you have financial troubles or are dealing with bad or broken relationship..I write this because, despite the pain of the moment, Im hopeful for what this New Year brings. You see Im a Nellie Forbush, a true cockeyed optimist, so I know my sorrow and sadness will fade and in their place will be eternal love in my heart and amazing memories in my mind until the day I die...And at that moment, this burden I carry today, will belong to someone else...Its a fascinating cycle which mankind will never be able to break. Youre born.. You Live.. You Die. Make the most of it. Climb Every Mountain, so to speak (Thank you Reverend Mother)..I believe my dear momma has done so with her life and now as she faces the end of her travels and will soon join the angels in heaven.. shell meet her Lord God full of pure joy and peace. Im sad that I am not there to hold her hand or to hear her say thats my baby, Georgie one more time, but Im also so grateful that Orlou Christine Bigelow Severson has been my momma for these past 45 years. I owe her, and my father, my life..and its a wonderful life...one I will never take for granted ever, ever again. I will climb every mountain. I will do my best to help others climb theirs. I will try to spread love, joy and peace and do my best to squash evil, hatred and injustice. These are things my mother taught me. Thank you for listening...my tears are stopping for the moment.
