STORM UPDATE: During this winter storm, 46,749 customers lost power this week. As of 7 p.m. this evening, we have restored electricity to more than 44,000 customers. Our crews are working through the night to restore electricity. The challenge now is that the remaining outages are scattered throughout Northwest Florida. The freezing ice and temperatures caused trees or tree limbs to damage our lines. It will take time to repair. Additional reinforcements have arrived traveling through treacherous conditions to provide assistance for our efforts. While work will continue through the night, it could be sometime tomorrow before all customers are restored. We apologize for this inconvenience. If customers do not have power at this time, they may want to make preparations to go without power this evening. Crews will work through the night and we will provide another update in the morning.
