SUPPORT FROM THE LDS CHURCH CONTINUES The helping hand of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints (LDS) Samoa continues to reach out to the children victims currently under SVSG’s shelter assistance. Through food supplies and other necessities required for the children’s daily needs, LDS stakes throughout Upolu have been of great help. In addition, they have also assisted in cleaning up the compounds of the three shelter facilities operated by SVSG whenever there is a need. Today, we received agricultural food, vegetables and fruits on top of other supplies such as bags of rice and toiletry supplies courtesy of the LDS Saleilua Stake which comprised of Siumu and Saaga under the leadership of President Fulutusi Apineru of Vaovai Falealili. Accompanying the congregation from Saleilua were members of the LDS Pesega Public Relations Committee who also donated 34 bags of taro last Thursday. And while an increasing number of infants are cared for in the Nursery Shelter, the LDS Office at Pesega have been generous in replenishing supplies of diapers and baby formula milk whenever we run short. SVSG President Mrs. Lina Chang is humbled by the generosity of these people, who have families of their own, yet, they continued to have a heart for the vulnerable children of Samoa. It surely makes this support work rewarding knowing that it is being embraced by our people. Thank you so much Samoa for your generosity and to the leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, it has been a blessing working with you all. victimsupport.ws #SVSGSAMOA #LDS #SVSG #MAKINGADIFFERENCE #BETHECHANGE #THANKFUL #TARO #DONATIONS #PESEGA #SIUMU #SAAGA
