SWAZILAND WHERE QATAR OPENED ITS EMBASSY AND BECAME THE FIRST COUNTRY FROM MIDDLE EAST AND SWAZILAND GOVT TRUST MORE MIDDLE EAST COUNTRIES WILL FOLLOW THE EXAMPLE TO OPEN EMBASSIES 07/02/2014 04:48:0 LOZITHA – Qatar became the first country in the Middle East to set up a resident embassy in the country. This was revealed when His Majesty King Mswati III received letters of credence from Qatar Ambassador to Swaziland Yousef Bin Mohammed Yousef Al-Mahmoud at Lozitha Palace. The King said the historic occasion would mean that it would be easier for the two countries to strengthen their bilateral relations. “We trust that there will be many more countries from the Middle East that would follow the example your country has set by setting up their embassies in the Kingdom of Eswatini. We are looking forward to finding many ways in which we could work together and share knowledge,” the King said. He said he hoped that the two countries would work together in combating challenges faced globally, such as conflict and disease. He said to fight the challenges, it was important for countries to work together, for a better future. . The King also expressed gratitude to the warm welcome granted to Swaziland when opening its embassy in the State of Qatar. He also pledged the country’s support while the ambassador worked in the country.
