Sad Love story Must Read A girl and a boy were in love. They ended the school year as a couple and would be separated over summer. The boy traveling Europe and would have no way to communicate. I have a question, the girl asked on their last day together. Ok, ask me then, the boy replied. Am I your first love? she asked. Of couse! You are the most beautiful person I have ever seen, the nicest I have ever met. Ok. Do you love anyone else? Not one other girl. Would you leave me for another girl? Never. You are the girl of my dreams, so why would I? One last question, her voice got softer as she said, would you tell me if anything was wrong? No, of couse- but he stopped. Something in fact was wrong, but he had avoided telling her. He couldnt lie to the girl he loved, so he said, Well, I would unless it would hurt you more to know than it would for you not to know. Ok, but I would want to know... she seemed worried. He wrapped her into his arms and whispered, I will always love you, even in my sleep. He kissed her on the cheek and walked away. She didnt know what he meant, all she knew is that he loved her. And that it would never change. That whole summer she never looked at another guy because she knew that HER boy was still waiting. The first day of school came, and he wasnt there. Maybe he was going to come a day later the girl thought, but the next day he was still no where to be found. She started to get worried until she found a note in her binder saying, Meet me at the park bench. With love, me. She knew who that ME was, so after school she sprinted to the park. At the park bench was another note that said, You came, baby! Remember this is the place that you said you first loved me? I remember. Now go to the frozen yogurt place at the mall. A scavenger hunt? She thought. Oh well, she wanted her love back and if it meant running around town, it was worth it. She made it to the malls frozen yogurt place and saw the next note laying at the table they used to always sit at. This one said: Remember our first kiss? This is the place it happened. Now go to the cemetery and remember- I am waiting and I love you. The cemetery? Oh yes, where he had told her that, no matter what happens, they still had this love to keep them together. That was after her grandma had died and they were standing by her grave. She arrived by her grandmothers grave, but there was no sign of the boy. But a new gravestone next to it where the two had stood a few months ago. She hadnt been there all summer so she guessed this person had died over summer. The gravestone said: DIED JUNE 14TH. CANCER. A BOY IN LOVE WITH THE PERFECT GIRL. How cute! she thought. A gravestone dedicated to a wife or a girlfriend. June 14th? That was her birthday, what a coincidence. Then on top of the gravestone, she saw a piece of paper. She realized that it was the last note in her scavenger hunt. Tears starting to fill her eyes, she picked it up and read: Baby, Im sorry I couldnt tell you. I was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks before summer break. Eventually when I went back to the doctor, he said that I only had 3 weeks to live. 3 weeks landed on your birthday. I couldnt tell you, I didnt want to break you heart. I said I was going to Europe so it wasnt hard on you, but I am sorry I lied. It is one thing to be someones first love, but it is even more special to be their last. You were both. I still love you. I said I would even in my sleep. Well, now I am eternally asleep. Eternally loving you. Stay strong, live on, but never forget me. With love, your boy. From that day on, the girl went to sit by the boys grave at least once a week to put out flowers and sing their song to him, hoping that he could hear her. She never fell in love with another boy and lived alone the rest of her life.
