Santander Universities Internship Scheme Edinburgh Napier - TopicsExpress

Santander Universities Internship Scheme Edinburgh Napier University is participating in the Santander Universities Intern Programme, connecting talented graduates with some of the UK’s fastest growing, most exciting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Santander is part-funding 3 month internships for third and final year students and recent graduates. If you would like to kick-start your career and build valuable experience fast, this is a great way to do it. This opportunity is being offered by Lettingweb Limited. Company Information: Lettingweb Limited is a leading Edinburgh based company specialising in providing a diverse range of technical and web based solutions to the growing residential property letting market. Job Role: We are looking for a Graduate Business Development Intern to help us launch and promote an exciting new product, MyrentalCV, to students across Scotland. MyrentalCV is a bit like an employment CV but instead of detailing your jobs it details your rental tenancies, with a rating for each. Think of it as a renting passport, kind of like a cross between TripAdvisor and an employment CV, backed with certification on your ID and details. MyrentalCV is necessary because new legislation in Scotland means that landlords and letting agents cannot charge tenants for the process of referencing them and so the onus is moving towards tenants having to “self certify”. MyrentalCV allows the tenant to take responsibility for their referencing and can give them a competitive edge, save them time, and possibly reduce deposit requirements. It can help encourage landlords to keep investing in the sector by making renting safer and improving returns. The Intern will be responsible for their own University area, and will introduce MyrentalCV into that territory to get it widely adopted at a local level. The work will involve: • Designing a local area business plan. • Marketing the concept to housing providers in the area. • Presenting and demonstrating MyrentalCV to letting agents and university landlord partners. • Researching, developing and implementing, to a budget, a local marketing plan to students and tenants in their area, using traditional and social media channels. Where appropriate design and produce marketing materials and promote and organise events. • Recruiting affiliate partners and local SEO link partners. • Researching and presenting to university matriculation, housing and HR departments and contacting large, local employers. • 1- 2 week role of team leader, managing and motivating the rest of the intern team. Training will be provided in Edinburgh. Person Requirements: • Ambitious. • Confident. • Competitive. • Creative. • Hard working. • Persistent. • Positive, with a ‘can do’ attitude. Salary: The intern will be paid £1,000 per month. Duration: A three month contract, which could lead to a full-time role for the right candidate. Method of Application: Please apply at adoptanintern.org.uk/application-form/application-form.html For further information on Lettingweb visit lettingweb Closing Date: 5pm on 17 June 2013.
