Sanyu FM News The Supreme Court has ruled that Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago remains out of office, and referred his appeal back to the Court of appeal. Justices Esther Kisakye, Benjamin Odoki, John Wilson Ssekoko, Galdino Okello, and Christine Kitumba ruled that they do not have jurisdiction to hear appeals from a single Judge. However the Judges have overturned the earlier orders of acting Chief Justice Steven Kavuma removing Lukwago from office, saying the case should be filed before a panel of three justices of the Court of Appeal. This means that the status-quo remains, in that Lukwago will not return to City Hall, and neither will the Electoral Commission hold elections to replace him, until the Courts make a final decision on the matter.
