Saw Crosby Stills and Nash at RAH last night, so loud the top - TopicsExpress

Saw Crosby Stills and Nash at RAH last night, so loud the top notes became lost which is not good for Graham Nash. I have a theory that sound men go to so many mega decibel gigs that their hearing becomes compromised, take St Pete Townsend as an example. Because they have knackered ears they tend to whack the dials up to 13, a phenominum recognised in the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. I enjoyed the gig in spite of the lunatic sonics and there was the added bonus of having all the wax blasted out of my ears.I can report that notwithstanding anno domini CSN, unlike Paul Mac can still hit the high notes and produce fantastic harmony, Stephen Stills just gets better and better on the guitar. Coupled with a pretty good meal in the Albert Hall Consort Cafe and Freedom Pass paid transport it was a pretty good night out although it cost rather more than the two bob you paid to get into the Goldhawk Club back in the early 1960s.
