Scout was his usual charming self at the Downingtown Petsmart. The employees get an A+ for friendliness and helpfulness. A couple of customers get Ds: one was carrying a small puppy and answered my question with yes, they just got her; and her unfortunate answer to my next question was online; I did not pursue further. The other, earlier, had let her dog approach Scout from behind and was already saying say hello as he reached us - without checking with me, first; secondly, the dog was on a retractable leash which I later saw extended to about 7 feet; then I heard her telling someone shed just adopted him. So she doesnt really know her dog yet, is using an extended retractable leash, and allowing him to approach other dogs without permission. My tongue is bitten.
