Sean McSorley "Anarchism is inherently a part of the labor - TopicsExpress

Sean McSorley "Anarchism is inherently a part of the labor movement. Discussion are made of when and how Anarchism was created, but the two serious standpoints is that it either was with Proudhon calling himself an anarchist or when proudhonists and bakuninists got together against the marxists in the 1st International. No matter which of those standpoints are correct, both give us the conclusion that anarchism is a part of the labor movement and that it is anti-capitalistic, no matter what value you put in the word. "Anarcho-capitalists" are not part of the labor movement. They are a development from liberal economic theories where extreme neo-liberal ideas are driven a step further by believing that the state is holding capitalism back(this is of course total bullshit, but that is beside the point). Hence a name like "post-state capitalism" would be less of a lie and be a way of honestly say what you are. The mere dismissal of the state does not define anarchism and have never done so. Anarchism have firstly been defined by the anarchist movement itself (yes, in some way it is a circular argument), and that way we clearly see that Anarchism is a libertarian socialist part of the labor movement. It is opposed to capitalism, wage labor and differs from the rest of the labor movement by also being opposed to the state. The dismissal of the state is therefore not what defines us, it is what makes us different from Marxist-Leninists, Social Democrats and Maoists among others."
