Sending huge amounts of luck to sponsored rider Chloe and Bertie for this weekend. Go get em! Bertie and I are off to Addington Manor until Sunday for the side saddle national championships and are going to contest 2 classes each day. Friday is the first day of competition and Bertie will get to wear our new super blingy browband that is just gorgeous! We will compete in the dressage with jumping class and the performance pony class, both of which have fences in, our favourite! Saturday is the big day, equitation championships. Everything has to be spotless and immaculate. This year I have entered the intermediate final (due to last years unexpected success) which I am a little nervous about, however we are going to just go out and enjoy it. This involves us riding a set test (equivalent to bd novice/elementary) followed by a turnout inspection and finally jumping a course of 2ft6 fences. Each phase has two judges one looking at the horse and picture as a whole and one watching me as a rider. Finally, Sunday has a lot of normal showing classes which everybody rides aside. Bertie and I will be contesting the ridden coloured and the working hunter, and hopefully if we have enough energy left we will try to defend our pairs title with Lauren and Finbaar! Its going to be a busy week, but Im definitely more excited than nervous. Please give them a big good luck LIKE. X
