Serenity Games wants you to be the best player you can be and with that in mind we want you to stay informed. Lets talk about player rewards. One of the things that makes frequenting an official WotC tournament store is of course promos! FNM promos are an exciting addition to your competitive Magic the Gathering experience. It seems there has been a little confusion regarding how the distribution of these rewards are handled, both by WotC and on a Tournament Organizer level. WotC sends the participating store a 4 pack of FNM promos for each Standard and Modern event that is sanctioned for the month. For each of these sanctioned events that is fired the top 2 players receive a promo card and then the remaining two are distributed randomly. If an event does not fire, as unfortunately Modern events are prone to this at our location, then generally the FNM promos are tucked away to be used as future player rewards for future magic events, which is WotC policy. Under no circumstances should your FLGS be selling left over FNM promos... they are YOUR promos! For consistency we are instituting a simple and unwavering policy. If Modern events are not fired then those FNM promos will be distributed on that FNM! So that means top 4 and 4 lucky Randos will be receiving a promo! This is generally considered to be an optional means of promo distribution but I feel this will keep things simple, allow for the greatest player distribution, and prevent any future confusion. Look forward to extra goodies like left over Game Day and Pre Release promos to make it into the mix as well!
