Shame On Gerrys Group & What we can do next? - Its very unfortunate that Gerrys Group whose business relies upon the good will of millions of middle class Pakistanis has decided to side with dynastic elites and thugs instead of standing with educated decent and self-respecting citizens like Arjumand Hussain who had taken a principled position inside the PIA plane. Business Groups need to respect the feelings of common decent citizens and this Business Group has gone way beyond limits in slapping the Pakistani nation on its face. We need to think how we assert our principled convictions within law, democracy and internationally accepted norms but in such a firm and concerted way that these Seths come to realize that they have done Wrong to Pakistani People and insulted them by firing Arjumand Hussain who stood up for the rights and respect of common decent men and women. Arjumand is today to Pakistan what Rosa Parkers was to United States sixty years ago when she refused vacating her bus seat, for a white passenger. Rosa Parkers Moment changed United States for better. Lets prove that Arjumand Hussain Moment will also change Pakistan and its business elite for better. We need to think what we can do to protest against this national insult this gross grotesque insensitivity by Gerrys Group. Should we just call on their phone lines and jam them? Should we request people, corporate bodies, companies, and overseas Pakistanis to boycott their services and products? or should we do some thing else like protests outside their offices? We also need to find out who are their principal clients and where they derive their most business from? - We need to brain storm on all this....these Seths need to realize that they have gone overboard in insulting the Pakistani people...lets brain storm!
