She closed her eyes tightly and once again saw the sheer cliff looming before her. It looked daunting...impassable... insurmountable. It looked like a mountain standing directly in her path. She pondered the towering WALL stretched out in front of her. It had been there generations before she had even arrived on the scene. Its presence had hindered many other weary travelers who had come upon it in their journeys before she faced it. She had choices. She could balk at the mere sight of it and run away, feeling like it was an impossible mountain to pass. She could cry out in frustration, because wasnt this the very path God had placed her on in the first place? She could allow disappointment or frustration to take root deep in her heart and drag her off course. She could attempt to scale the wall herself, without the assistance or protection of God, because shed be attempting to do it in her own strength, knowledge or power. She would slip and fall if she did that. OR... She could stare at the gigantic obstacle in her path, remind herself of Joshua 6 and the walls of Jericho and worship God! She could shout her way over it, anticipating and expecting the wall that had been there for generations to come crashing down! She didnt hesitate another moment when she recognized what it was she needed to do! She began to praise and worship God! She stepped into the grace, mercy and wisdom of God by asking for them to be applied to her life...Then she spoke to every generational hinderance of rejection, abandonment, bonding issues, abuse, depression, confusion and fear...and commanded them to GO! In Jesus name! She gave a great shout of victory over them all and the walls of those hinderances FELL FLAT before her! It happened in a Suddenly moment. One minute the looming sheer cliff stood before her blocking her progress, and...the next thing she knew she was climbing only about a foot high and stepping up and over the debris that lay scattered around her! It looked like an atomic bomb had gone off! Everything was leveled! What in actuality had happened was this... She grabbed a hold of a missing piece of the puzzle... Generational hinderances. Now that she was entering her own promised Land, she could not allow the past to dictate her future! This was her life NOW...her future and her destiny that stood before her! Others depended on her getting this right! The present and future generation would be effected by this! The doors of her destiny were ready to swing wide open and so she chose wisely and in doing so, won the victory! #Joshua6 #WhatWallsAreHinderingU?
