Shelli and I had a great Christmas. Neither one of us want or need a lot. We are happy with each other and feel blessed. Cant say she is always happy with me but Ive grown on her over the years. This Christmas story is not about Shelli and I and I really dont want to hear what good people we are. Its about the thoughts of an 8 or 10 year old boy. Christmas day Shelli saw a FB post about a girl here in San Angelo who has 3 kids and no Christmas dinner. Long story short. We made them up some plates and took them some food. The first thing I noticed when we walk in their house was that the children had gotten some presents, I was so glad. A really nice girl and 3 very well mannered kids. We sat the food down on a table and Shelli and the young girl began to talk. The older boy came over to me and was showing me his Christmas gift. I showed him the food and then I took the foil off of a plate full of sweets, chocolates, banana bread, fudges. I reached down and got him and I a couple of chocolate covered somethings and turned around to hand him his, he had teared up. He looked deep into my eyes and said, this must be some kind of Christmas dream. A ten year old boy so grateful for some kindness and a little bit of food. Must be some kind of Christmas dream, is etched in my mind forever. PEACE
