Signs of the Final Hour The Minor Signs of the Final Hour -the mission of the× Muhammad, peace be upon him, -a fire erupting in the Hijaz Province ( the land in which× Makkah and Madinah are situated ), -contractedness of time, -speaking of lifeless things, -speaking of animals, -speaking of the whip’s end to man, -speaking of the shoe sole, -the female slave giving birth to her own mistress, -the striving of shepherds in competition of erecting tall buildings, -the vain gloriousness of people over building fancy mosques, -the prevalence of afflictions, -the excessive frequencies of killing, -the prevalence of fornication. The Major Signs of the Final Hour 1. The advent of the Dajjal ( Pseudo-Christ ), an impostor who claims to be× God. His followers will be mostly jews. He will march over the whole earth, except for the two cities of× Makkah and Madinah, into which he will be prevented to enter. The Dajjal’s appearance will be a tremendous affliction. He will command the sky to rain, and it will, and the earth to give out its produce, and it will. The Messenger, peace be upon him, warned us against following him, or believing him. 2. The descent of Issa ( Jesus ), peace be upon him, from the heaven to Damascus ( the× Capital of Syria ), by the side of the white minaret. He will kill the× Dajjal, invite the people to× Islam, break the cross, kill the swine, waive the jizyah ( as a proof of the falsehood of crucifixion and killing the swine as proofs of the× Christian false claims that× Jesus made lawful for them eating of the swine flesh and drinking wine ), then finally, he will die, and× Muslims will attend his janazah ( funeral ) prayer. 3. Yajooj and Ma’jooj ( Gog and Magog), two large human nations. They will spread mischief, and corruption on earth. Issa will, then, pray to Allah swt to put an end to them, and they will die as a result. 4. The emergence of the Beast of the Earth, which Allah swt will bring forth just before the Final Hour to warn people against the eminent torment and destruction. 5. The rising of the Sun from the West. Once the sun rises from the West, all human beings will declare their belief in Allah swt. At that point, no belief will avail a person who did not previously believe, or benefited from his belief. There are other signs as indicated by the Messenger of Allah swt, peace be upon him, saying: - the Final Hour will not be established until you have witnessed ten signs: the rising of the sun from the West, the smoke, the emergence of the Beast from the earth, the emergence of Gog and Magog, the appearance of Issa, son of Maryam, the Dajjal, the three earthquakes: one in the East, one in the West, and the third in the Arabian Peninsula, a fire which will erupt from underground in Aden to drive people to the Assembly Land. It will accompany them, stopping were they stop day and night ( Muslim ).
