Since Im up and mind is somewhat out of my drug induced fog... surgery went well for shoulder yesterday despite the fact Steve Mom and I had to be at hospital at 5 am... not getting home until just before 5 pm. Surgery was 6:30 am. They did break through adhesions but also found that i had very enlarged tendons (not sure what that means) so had to cut and reattach. Takes me longer than normal to wake up after anesthesia but also had some BP issues they were watching so didnt get out until around 1:00; then straight to physical therapy. Yes. .i had therapy with a nerve blocked arm that i couldnt feel a thing. Apparently normal protocol to ad ad possible and get arm shoulder as much and as possible. I also have this continuous motion device that Im supposed to use a total of 6 hours a day for 3 weeks...2 hrs 3x day + daily physical therapy. I guess they arent fooling around with keep it moving. Yesterday nit any pain just inconvenience having to have help to do EVERYTHING. Today feeling is back with a vengeance. . Thus the high end oxycodone Norco to take between doses of that if i need more relief. While we are quite the threesome...Steve one leg me ok need arm and Mom only one good eye. .. we made it through yesterday. We were all wore out yesterday.. Today i get to try out the motion machine. ... Ewwww ah. Mom here through Sunday then were on our own. Thank goodness shes here to help. Im still hoping to be rehabbed enough to be back to work at least part-time in a couple weeks. .. Im stubborn that way.
