Sit rep. Okay, been a long couple of days, the meeting with the National Association of Federal Employees friday morning was very interesting. Advocacy was at the forefront, all veterans organizations were represented but I suspect few will endorse the partnerships the NAFE expects. I asked one simple question, were they prepared to march, would they support proactive operations to attain results or was this a letter writing exercise in futility. They will indeed march, we will indeed prevail in the near future assembling the numbers required to send a definitive message before election day. This is but the start, i am fully committed to assembling a broad range of support and will be engaging other associations, including unions, to rally with us to affect affect changes to improved the lives of veterans and all Canadians who have been disenfranchised by the Harper government., Phase one is complete, a new alliance has been formed, we will fight for dignity in our retirement and to save our pensions. The camera shoot for T was interesting. It is important to note i was not asked to endorse him or the liberal party, only to speak to the Sacred Obligation and how the current prime minister has abandoned his. To easy, it is what it is Rested up in the bathtub for an hour then pushed on to the evening forum. The evening forum Was very interesting as designed as a workshop for psychiatrists and frankly, i was wayyyy out of my league. Or so i thought, i was asked to speak for ten minutes, went longer, could have heard a pin drop.... no notes, speak from the heart, stay in the light. Went back to motel, pail levels acute and other then riding the mobility scooter down the street, been staying in ecrapolodge motel room... planning on doing some video tomorrow for CVATV,There is a rib fest down by sparks street, will be setting up near the war memorial and asking passing people how they feel about the governments treatment of veterans. Going early afternoon, might even have a beer at dms afterwards... and some tasty smoked ribs... Oh, and of note, as i was finishing up the video shoot the visiting European heads of state were leaving so, ever interested in such things, i cruised up to see the show. To my surprise and yes, pleasure, Steven Blaney hopped out of his car and came over and gave me a hug. We spike briefly, he is a good man and I believe tried his best to serve veterans when he had the veterans portfolio. He was accessible, inclusive, not exclusive and selective as is the current. Time to crash, miss wifey and the pugs, best to sleep. . .
