Six-month training programme for women by AMU Women’s Polytechnic: The six-month training for second batch of Skill Development Programme organized by University Women’s Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University under the sponsorship of Ministry for Human Resource Development under Community Development through Polytechnics (CDTP) Scheme, for female candidates is commencing from October 01, 2013. Mrs. Iffat Ara Bano, Principal and Chief Coordinator, HRD CDTP Scheme said that the training of Fashion Garments, Beautician & Hair Dressing, MS Office & Internet Basics, Handicraft & Art Work, Textile Dying & Printing and Achar / Murabba Making (Fruit Preservation) shall be imparted at University Women’s Polytechnic Campus (Main Centre). While training for Dress Designing, Soft Toys & Doll Making, Tailoring / Fabric Painting, Garment Making & Embroidery, Computer Applications, Stitching & Needle Work, Karchobi / Zari Work, Patchwork & Embroidery will be provided at the Kasimpur, Zohrabagh, Chharra, Atrauli, Jalalpur, Barola / Jafarabad and Gangiri centres. Mrs. Bano said that the training is meant for needy female candidates belonging to the economically and socially backward sections of the society. There is no barrier of age limit, qualification and tuition fee for the training. The training material will be provided by the institution. Admission forms for University Women’s Polytechnic Centre may be obtained from University Women’s Polytechnic from August 16, 2013. For admission at extension centres, candidates are advised to contact the respective centres. The last date for submission of completed admission forms is August 31, 2013
