So - I dont post on fb a lot but want to share some really cool stuff. As some of you know, my very good friend, Angie Lindloff and her family are having a silent auction next Saturday in Katy to honor her nephew, Chris. Chris, a Purple Heart recipient, was a Marine who served for us and our country in Afghanistan. He came home with a traumatic brain injury and PTSD. He planned to hike the Appalachian Trail with one of his buddies he served with to raise money for childhood cancer - a disease his friend, Mike, overcame. Chris didnt make it. He took his own life in November, 2013, after struggling in life after he came home. Angie wanted to make sure that his second call to service as Chris saw it, would be completed plus her family want to bring awareness to the 22 suicides per day by our service men and women. I reached out to ask for help in getting items for the auction and have been truly touched and overwhelmed. Nikki Hilliard Goldin and Crossfit 1525 donated either 2 months for 1 person or 1 month for 2 people. Nikki - thank you - I sent you an email and even though you are on vacation, you answered immediately with this generous donation. Lito Diano, you did the same. I called you and said I had a favor to ask and you said yes before I could even ask. You guys brought me to tears and I cant tell you how much I appreciate what you are doing. This means so much to me and to the Lindloff family and I know that by telling Chris story, you are helping so many. Thanks for showing me again how awesome people are!!!
