So I am watching a news dialogue currently, the contributors are talking about Abe in Japan... Very interesting, then they brought up the question of whether their younger and youngest generations know anything or something skewed about the second world war. Then an international relations fellow questioned whether or not it was indeed difficult to write a history textbook for japanese public schools that could be fair and non biased with regard to the history. I think it is fair to children to have only facts describe past wars that amply describe the war, sides taken and battles with casualty numbers. They deserve to see the numbers of casualties and learn about them in their history texts along with which side started each battle and who was perceived to have won. Children should be taught in war nothing is won. All people of the world should know this fact. What do you think? How should countries write texts about wars for education to children in their public schools?
