So, I decided to buy a new Ipod Nano to replace my current Ipod - TopicsExpress

So, I decided to buy a new Ipod Nano to replace my current Ipod Touch that has limited music capacity. The Nano arrived, I plugged it into my Imac, and ... nothing, except for this message Your I-Tunes version is out-of-date and not compatible with your Ipod Nano. I tried updating ITunes, and got this message: No newer version of I-Tunes is available for your operating system. Hmmm. After a bit of on-line research, I identified the problem. I need to upgrade my operating system to Snow Leopard to be able to upgrade my Itunes software in order to make it compatible with the Nano, or I need to buy a newer computer. I opted to for the $20 Snow Leopard fix to see if that would solve the problem. The Snow Leopard disc arrived, I plugged it into the computer, fearfully hit the install button, and... surprisingly, all went okay, except for the brief time in the middle of the install when the computer powered down and went dark. After a few minutes of wondering if the Imac had expired, I decided to hit the start button. The system powered back on, and the install continued where it had left off. After about 3 hours of updating the operating system and software, the mission was successful. Bottom line, I now have my entire 1960s music collection on my Nano, with room to spare, which will allow me to cruise around town listening to such 60s classics as this: (if you didnt grow up in the 60s you will most likely wonder why he went to all that trouble, if this is the music he is listening to) :-) youtube/watch?v=OBtz91uqxFQ
