So, I have got a saddle question. Today I fell off my mare while trying to encourage her to lope, because her saddle slid off. Now, I have heard that you cinch as tight as you can, and I have heard that you cinch as tight as you can while using the holes on the latigo. (thats what we did today). Since it was still loose enough to slide over her while using the holes on the latigo, would you say that the saddle doesnt fit? It was also sliding around alot in the back while riding. It doesnt pinch her anywhere, and her sweat pattern is even with no dry spots. Could the saddle be too wide, and I either need a more narrow saddle or thicker pad? I know that part of the saddle slipping is because I have poor balance. I dont need to know that. Lol. I am still a beginner and trying my best to do whats best for me and my girl.
