So, I log-on to AOL to check e-mail, and my eyes are immediately drawn to a pair of adorable boots onscreen. Coincidentally, they are similar to a pair I purchased online last fall, but they are tan, not black--and I like the black boots so much, wouldnt I like these, too? Yes, I probably would. But before clicking on them to get a better look, I realize this aint no coincidence. Im getting reeled in by oh-so-very clever marketers. Beware, my fellow splurgers. You and I are meaty prey. Before making an impulsive purchase, write down the item, if you must, but dont buy it. Sleep on it.
