So.... I made a comment on this post to the The Truth About Cadets facebook group that ended up getting me blocked from the group. My comment was asking if the reason they are noticing the exodus of females from the group had anything to do with the cadet program or their suggestion of a strike and their subsequent methods of promoting the strike. I suggested that there was a reason that these females joined the group in the first place and likely it was because they are concerned with the future of the program and that despite leaving they probably still had those concerns. I did a breakdown of the likes that they mention to the UK Style Fieldcraft posts that they have on their page and noted that they initially had a lot more likes to those posts earlier on in the history of the page and that their interest seemed to be dwindling. I made the comment that while they mention total likes to these posts it would be interesting to see how many of those likes were by the same people. I tried to do it in a respectful way and did not receive any negative comments about this critique. I just suddenly noticed that I could not comment on the page anymore. I guess this shows the true nature of their group where they cannot stand critical thinking about their interpretation of numbers.
