So, I moved to Peoria in the summer of 1964 (from Saginaw, Michigan); we moved because my dad had gotten a teaching position at Bradley U. One day, I and at least one other person (new friends!) went down to the local radio station (WIRL?), and my friend told them that I had just moved there from ENGLAND! I put on this great English accent (if I do say so myself), and they interviewed me ON AIR!!!! Remember, the Beatles were huge at this time. It was a blast! Soooooo funny, right? Well, someone ratted me out, and later that evening, I was down in the basement and the phone rang. It was someone from the FCC!!!!! I heard my parents pick up the phone upstairs, so they heard everything. But they never said a word. I think they knew Id had the you know what scared out of me!
