So I need to do something. Im weary of seeing people I know walk long distances on roads with no sidewalks and through construction zones. There is to much red tape to make a sidewalk, people with very limited funds cant always use a taxi. Imagine getting your groceries and family needs back to your home with a stroller or on a rainy day. Many of these good people serve your food, clean your hotels or walk to a job in the middle of the morning regardless of weather. Our city is looking to put at least 18 million dollars to bring in stores that will attract people. There is a lot of energy being put behind this. What if a fraction of that energy was directed to the unseen foot walkers of Conway? How can we work together to improve transportation for the men and women who contribute tax dollars to our city as well? Solutions: Maybe its public transportation. Maybe its a partnership between the three universities, our local churches, and city. Maybe its churches with bus ministries using those vehicles to transport people through the city. So I will be doing something to create awareness. Just maybe if you feel the same way, you can join me. Thinking out loud
