So I wanted to share my best score to date and the machine that is my baby forever and ever. A singer 431g! Found it on Craigslist for $35. Someone had used WD-40 on it and the whole thing was just super sluggish. Ive worked and worked on it, and now she sews like a dream! :D I needed to buy a new power cord, but that was pretty much it. The top looks odd because, well, I was tired of the spool pins breaking, so I kinda, yeah. Took a hanger, snipped off a length of the metal, bent it into an elongated U shape, and stuck it up in there and secured it with some putty stuff I had laying around the house. >_> As of yet, the metal hasnt broken the way the plastic spool pins were, and it still sews just fine! XD
