So I was having a philosophical discussion a little while ago With my friend whom Ive known since the 1-9-9-ohs About how it seems like weve been living for a really long time And how everything makes more sense but theres no reason or rhyme Basically its weirder the more we go along, why even sing a song If were not really all that sure, everything weve known could be wrong Why the roads, why the businesses, why the cops, why the mistresses Why are things the way they are, why arent they the way they arent Why is this that, and why isnt this that Why cant we just put a cat in a hat Why cant we just philosophize about cats? Why isnt that where our conversation went? Why cant I open up to him about cats and just vent? About cats? Why do they have nine lives? Why arent we investing in their inventions of extra lives? Where do we go when were all out of cats? What will we scoop out of their litter boxes then? Will there even be anything left, without these gifts from the Gods Will they just leave us with their scents and their magical rods Or will we forever be searching for the scent well never know again Until that day when were re-blessed with their scent from heaven Which well then spray away with febreeze Because well remember they stink But only when they pee Or mark their territory And then well say, why do cats exist? And again the Gods will take them away and make us re-appreciate And the cycle will go on for eternity Please stop forgetting the value of cats Or else well end up in this eternal cycle And never evolve to our full potentials.
