So I was sat on the platform at Waterloo, listening to 2 young aspiring actors picking apart the performance of King Lear they saw tonight. Oppersite us is a poster for penny dreadful a new sky Atlantic series (attached), in which only Josh Hartnett, Eva Green and Timothy Dalton are named but Billie Pipers face is also featured. They were puzzling over why shes there but not mentioned. I pointed out that she hasnt hit in America yet. Shes a name to us but not to them. That Sky Atlantic is an American channel so its got to cater for both markets. Also where do they think the real money from investors come from, UK or US? This aparrently was mind boggling information. They then went on to discuss actor training, how theyre at The Britt School, how I went to East15 ect. I told them that it doesnt really matter, if they want real training they need to go to Michaeljohn Gonzalez. This was when their train pulled in. They were like all right cool, as they walked away I heard one say she cant be any good if she needs to keep training after drama school. Poor things, you miss the point that an actor never finishes training. Acting is a muscle, dont use it you lose it. I think we proved thay enough tonight after a week off. I was so busy thinking this and that Im a bloody good actress actually, just you wait, Im gonna be a Bond Girl yet! That I failed to notice that ut was also my train, anf missed it. ...opps.
