So I watched the Royal Rumble last night, skipped the undercard and went straight to the title match which was excellent, Seth Rollins looked great, love the spot where he powerbombed Cena off the turnbuckles, even Cenas spots were good, I was reminded of Cenas stellar bout with the late Umaga at Royal Rumble 07 and Brock looked fantastic, its seems Lesnar is a babyface now, that stretcher routine is classic babyface fodder, great match, now onto the Rumble, what were creative thinking? In Philadelphia of all places, the home of ECW and a 100% smart mark crowd they booked Roman Reigns to go over and he became the Batista of 2015, all its going to do is harm the guy, I like Reigns but he needs to work on the promos and get more transitions in his ring work, lose that terrible looking Samoan drop and work in some holds, armdrags, submissions etc, at the moment its kick, punch, superman punch and a admittedly great looking spear, go back to last year and Reigns had a good match with Orton, he needs more time working with the likes of Orton, Jericho and other seasoned veterans who can make him look good and walk him through some decent matches, its too soon right now, even his cousin The Rock couldnt save him and he is likely to get booed against Brock at Mania who has just turned Babyface??? Same with Cena & Russev, bad idea, I dont like jingoistic angles and personally I like Russev, the guys a good worker , if they really want to do the whole American hero thing, they need a babyface who is actually over with the crowd. The most gauling thing was the early eliminations of all the fan favourites, Bryan, Ambrose, Ziggler & Cesaro all went out quickly, shockingly quick and no NXT stars? seriously, Adam Rose, Fandango, Zack Ryder? those spots could have gone to Adrian Neville, Kevin Owen & Sami Zayn, things could have been so different on Sunday, had Bryan won or even a wild card like Ambrose the fans would have gone home happy, instead there was constant angry boos all the way to the end, not even The Rock could save things
