So...... Im at a wrestling meet for the day and I just saw a GREAT demonstration of what sportsmanship is all about. A young man from Harwood with Downs Syndrome wrestling a young man from Spaulding. The match was close for a while in points and the wrestler from Harwood made a few moves, scored some points and got to spend more time on the mat. I am sure he has worked very hard for these special moments. In the end he was easily pinned but his opponent was sure to help him up and shake his hand before going to center mat to be declared the winner, after which he had a hug for his opponent who left the mat with a big smile and his head held high. Its not always about winning and losing, sometimes its about the journey and how you conduct yourself when you arrive at the destination.
