So Pew Poll says 60% of liberals arent proud to be an American. Well if you dont like it here I think Greece and France is more of what you are looking for. But you better hurry, they are going down the tubes and trying to change into what America used to be. Im an American. I dont like the way people are trying to change into, like the European countries, but Im proud to be an American. Im proud of the constitution and the freedoms we have and use to have. If you dont like it...find another place to live thats to your liking. Its that simple. The truth of the matter is you dont have the guts to move and live the way they really live. Your mind likes the ideology but lacks the guts to live there actually. So do us all a favor either find the guts to move or adapt to what this country is about and has been about. That goes for you politicians too. God knows you wouldnt be as rich as you are in other countries doing what you do. People die trying to come here. And many do it legally. Why because its the only place where they know if they come, they can become successful here. They have the guts to face death to leave to become Americans. Too many have died to make sure that the constitution remains the guiding course of freedom. If you dont like the flag dont burn it, tear it up. Just go find the flag of a country you can believe in, but leave mine alone. Bottom line if you hate this country that has given you so much dont try and change it for the rest of us who like it just the way it is, even in its imperfections. We will get those straightened out. Always have and always will. But either man up and get the guts to leave or stand up and be proud and adhere to the oath that new citizens have to swear by. And just incase you need a refresher...here it is. The principles embodied in the Oath are codified in Section 337(a) in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), which provides that all applicants shall take an oath that incorporates the substance of the following: Support the Constitution; Renounce and abjure absolutely and entirely all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which the applicant was before a subject or citizen; Support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; Bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and A. Bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; or B. Perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; or C. Perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law. My name is Charles Matthew Barnes, proud American, and I approve this message.
