So, Spartanburg County owes me quite a bit of money for an overage payment & have been giving me the runaround for almost a month now. This was supposed to be settled on December 22nd, but when I came in two days before Christmas, I was told that Mr. Metz was on vacation until January 5th & that he hadnt signed off on my check b/c he needed more info to prove I was who I said I was & that he had called me numerous times & left numerous messages informing me of this, but I hadnt responded.....that was a lie! So, instead of calling & getting his voicemail, I just decided to come in & speak with him personally. Can you tell me why he greeted me with an attitude & loud tone of voice? Yall that know me know I didnt receive that well! I told him he has my social security card, my birth certificate, my license, & the last 3 addresses that Ive resided over the past 14 years, but hes telling me he needed more proof proving I am who I say I am. What else can I provide him with, my DNA? So, after our nice little discussion I guess he saw I wasnt going to back down so he said he needed to review my case again (for the 3rd time) before he could issue me a check & I was welcome to wait or hed call me when he was done this evening. Needless to say, Im still here waiting! But, those of you who can get a prayer through, please say a prayer for your sister b/c Lord knows Im trying hard to hold my composure! I must say, I did good earlier because even though I was firm with my words, I didnt get out of character. #hebetterbegladGODisworkingonme
