So at the start of the year in the hospital they told me I wouldnt race this year. My friend and sponsor Mike Dullea and Gary Crossley Ford stood behind me and Mike Castro with the support of Ducati Seattle got the race bike ready. I was on crutches till the first round and missed it. I had the support of everyone around me and got out there. Slow, and in pain I could only do a few laps at a time. Jared and Optimum Performance Rider Training allowed me the opportunity to instruct and get as many laps as I wanted in, and slowly I got more range of motion in. I got a couple of races in and started building points in the Open GP twins class. Still unable to get faster than last season I set a goal of just trying to podium in a class for the season. It meant doing every round. With help from The Mad Hatter Motorsports team, from Jason and Dunlop, Barry and KFG and Mike Castro on several levels I ended up third for the season. Id love to say it was fun racing with Ray and Bob however after a couple laps I didnt see them. Thanks everyone for the support and now that the season is over I hope to keep healing my knee, working out and getting lap times competitive again. Thanks all especially the WMRRA club for all they do and everyone else who helped especially Brian Rose, Chris Larabee, Keith Roberts and Nick Biesold who shamed me into racing occasionally when I didnt think I could. 2014 ended up being a fun season because of everyone there!
